To emboss a logo on an STL without Blender, import a high-contrast logo into Reskin3D, enable Place once, select its target surface, position the motif and bake it into the model.
Prepare a clean logo height map
Use a high-resolution PNG with a flat background or an SVG with clear shapes. Reskin3D’s image controls can convert luminance, remove a connected flat background, threshold the artwork and smooth jagged edges. The preview should contain the intended shape rather than shadows, compression noise or background texture.
If the logo appears recessed when it should be raised, switch light and dark polarity at the layer rather than destructively editing the source again.
Place one copy
Enable Place once so Texture size controls the complete logo rather than a repeating tile. Use planar mapping on a flat face and the position pad to locate it. On a gently curved face, surface mapping may work, but strong curvature can stretch fine lettering.
Select an area larger than the logo and use Edge feather only if a soft transition is wanted. A crisp badge normally needs its important content safely inside the selected boundary.
Choose printable dimensions
A logo that is readable on screen can still contain strokes narrower than the nozzle. Start around 0.40–0.60 mm emboss with a 0.4 mm nozzle, then inspect every letter in the slicer. Protect snap fits, screw holes and mating surfaces from the selection.
Three-step workflow
- Import or paste a clean logo and convert it to a high-contrast height map.
- Enable Place once, select the target face, and position the complete logo.
- Emboss, bake and verify that every stroke produces a slicer path.
