To texture an STL for a Bambu P1S, use Reskin3D to add real surface geometry, start from a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layer profile, export STL or 3MF, then inspect the toolpaths in Bambu Studio.
Set a realistic baseline
The common 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layer height are useful starting values, not universal requirements. Reskin3D uses them to warn when a requested feature is likely to be too narrow or shallow. Your actual filament, speed, cooling, wall count and orientation still matter.
Begin with a clear pattern such as diamond knurl or honeycomb. Fine powder-coat grain is much closer to the nozzle limit and deserves a small test.
Preserve functional geometry
Select only decorative or grip faces. Debossing keeps the outer envelope but reduces local wall thickness; embossing protects more wall but changes dimensions. Keep threads, holes, snap fits, sealing faces and bed-contact surfaces untextured unless their dimensional change is intentional.
Use a moderate triangle budget first. More triangles cannot rescue a pattern whose physical features are too small for the nozzle.
Inspect in Bambu Studio
Export the baked STL or 3MF and open it in Bambu Studio. Review several layers through the texture, looking for continuous perimeter paths, gaps, tiny isolated moves and unexpected thin walls. Reskin3D cannot place a browser-downloaded file directly into the desktop app, so import it from Downloads.
Save the final slicer profile alongside the model if you share it, and describe the settings as tested in the slicer unless a physical print has confirmed them.

- Apply texture only to safe faces, bake it and export STL or 3MF.
- Import into Bambu Studio and inspect toolpaths through the complete textured region.
